The story follows Detective Schaefer, who is “press-ganged” into accompanying an elite U.S. squad to retrieve the crashed vessel before the Russians can. Upon arrival, they find themselves caught in a three-way battle between American commandos, Soviet troops, and the advanced alien hunters. Amidst the political tension and extreme weather, Schaefer forms an unlikely alliance with a fierce Russian female lieutenant named Ligachev to stop the real enemy before they are all slaughtered.
